So thankful for your friendship across the miles and down the road.

Welcome to an 1864 farmhouse…life is good!
Today a cold, steady wind from the north has been whistling around the old farmhouse, meaning outdoor chores are done quickly! The heat lamp...
Grateful to have found you and your blog Mary. Wishing you and your family a blessed and memorable Thanksgiving. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robin, I’m so glad to have discovered yours as well – I’m loving going back and reading the older posts!
DeleteDear Mary, thank you for your kind thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. We don't have Thanksgiving here in New Zealand, but for some reason we are having the Black Friday Sales this year. I hope that you have a wonderful time with your family and lots of good food to eat. Hugs, Rose xxx
ReplyDeleteIt seems funny to me that you have black Friday sales - I never thought about it, I guess I always assumed it was a day after Thanksgiving thing! So glad to have found your blog. I love seeing what’s happening in your garden-it’s so very pretty. And it may sound, silly, but I’m a huge Brokenwood Mysteries fan - which is filmed there – so much beautiful scenery!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving!

Thank you, Cathy, hope yours was happy and cozy as well!
DeleteHope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Janice
ReplyDeleteHi again Mary, I just read your comment. These dough box tables were sometimes antiques, however Ethan Allen even made them. Square nails should be an old one. Dovetails should look like they are hand cut not all the same. Even the ones from the 1940's were dovetailed. Some even had a magazine rack on the side of them. Without seeing it though, I would not really be able to tell you 100% if it is a true antique. Hope ths helps somewhat. Janice
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janice, love seeing the inspiration of your home – that magazine needs to get back with you! Also appreciate you sharing your antique knowledge - Hope all is well, and if your husband follows college football, congrats to that team up north!
DeleteBelated Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family, Mary. Xx
