Here’s what the steps of the old farmhouse look like today…carving will be later tonight, along with roasting pumpkin seeds!
In case you’re still looking for a little inspiration, we had a chance to visit a local town with oodles of carved pumpkins – so intricate, and absolutely incredible and yes, very real!
How are you spending your Halloween? I need to whip up some snacks, pull out movies – yes Scooby-Doo will be included - no scary stuff here. Even though we don’t get trick-or-treaters in the country, I still like to have a little silly fun!
And that’s what it’s all about – enjoying this beautiful season and not missing it.
I’m still trying to learn that – which is what my latest MaryJane’s Farm post is all about. If you click here, it’ll take you right to it.
Hope all is well!
Those pumpkins look incredible. Happy Hallowe'en, Mary. ๐
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link. Xx

Cathy
I loved walking around when the kids were little – but I know as they got older they wanted to walk with their friends. That’s when I stayed at the door to hand out candy-Always loved seeing the costumes! Staying cozy at home sounds great Cathy - Perfect way to end a fall day๐
DeleteThose Jack-o-lanterns are works of art! I especially like the kitty.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a peaceful night.
It really is an art, it certainly would take a lot of patience! Yes, peaceful here, the seasons are changing, much cooler and a lot of swirling leaves – perfect for me! Hope. Everything is good in your area - does it stay warm all winter there or do you get a change of seasons?
DeleteWhat fun jack o lanterns. Hope you had a spooktacular Halloween! Janice
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice - I ate too many smores!
DeleteThe JOLs are fabulous!! My niece and I used to carve JOLs like this...in fact, I did the crow and the cat one you showed. I can't do it any more as I don't have the strength in my hands/wrists. My favorites are the pumpkin lab and the owl...but my ABSOLUTE favorite is the headless horseman. Just fabulous! But I love anything with headless horseman. ;-) Halloween was quiet here...I had 6 trick or treaters and they are all people who know I love to see the costumes so made a special trip to visit. (Well, one was my grand of course...) ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteYour farmhouse steps look beautiful!!! I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. We always have a trick-or-treat party at the Sunday farmers market before Halloween and it's so much fun to see the kiddos and pups dressed up. We handed out lots of candy and dog biscuits. ๐ My favorites were a 2-year old dressed up like a parrot (SO funny) and a greyhound dressed up as a bumble bee complete with a hat with antennas. Ha!
