Why yes, it did take me quite some time to stitch up my chicken apron...
Days turned into weeks...
Weeks turned into months...
Holidays came and went...
Need I say more? Time flies!
Welcome to an 1864 farmhouse…life is good!
Today a cold, steady wind from the north has been whistling around the old farmhouse, meaning outdoor chores are done quickly! The heat lamp...
Oh I love it ! I am yet to attempt to make my own aprons or pinny as my mum whom was British called them ! I want to get all kinds of country prints and go nuts with making aprons but never have been to crafty with sewing by hand or the machine I guess practice makes good then right ? Do you go by any patterns or do you do your own pattern? Cant wait to see the next apron/pinny ! Have a great day !
ReplyDeleteOh you're too kind...thanks Country Gal! Actually, I'm not that good of a seamstress (don't look closely!) I'm very impatient and want the project done NOW! Which is funny considering how long it took me to finish this apron! It was oh-so easy, it came in an apron kit...fabric & pattern all together. I have some pretty calico I want to turn into a full-length pinafore...I'll need a pattern for that, but easy aprons, like a simple gathered rectangle can be stitched up in no time...give it a try and let me know how it turns out!
