I try to keep Sundays quiet - a day of rest to prepare for the week ahead. Today a candle perfectly named Sunday Drive flickers in an old Boone cupboard, and with a cold start to the day, there’s a fire chasing the chill.
I usually keep some soft music in the background, but lately I’m not in the mood for formal, classical music.
I’ve recently discovered a YouTube station titled The Quiet Village Music - for me, it’s just right for days like these. Peaceful, gentle folk music with the sweetest illustrations-littles would love watching them!
And to celebrate my Welsh heritage, I wish you:
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!
(Happy Saint David’s Day)
Saint David was known for saying:
“Do the little things.”
I’d say those are wise words for a quiet Sunday - or any day. Today I’m going to catch up on some reading, watch a British mystery, and definitely take a nap.
Wishing you a day of peace, rest, and “little things” that bring you joy.

I'm sitting in sun (in a minute here) and needle felting.
ReplyDeletePerfect - that sun feels good doesn’t it? I just did the same - even though it’s cold outside, I stood in the sun a few minutes - just what I needed.
DeleteI did a bit of cleaning yesterday, but mostly stitched and watched my tv shows I taped. Did take Tundra out for a walk, but it was snowing. UGH Janice
ReplyDeleteYou do so much stitching, you’re inspiring me - that will be my next post! Although I’m not sure, I have the patience for it :)
DeleteLovely YouTube station. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon it from someone else and thought it was quite sweet – glad that you liked it, Laurie.
DeleteThe littlest things sometimes mean the most. I'll have to look for that station. It sounds like soul-soothing. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteNo truer words Daisy! It’s gentle music that kind of reminded me of the first Lord of the Rings movie - music from the Shire celebration - ha ha.
